For all people like me who wants to write HTML tags instead of using WYSIAYG (what you see is all you get) editors, I suggest having a look to Chami's place and download his beautiful HTML-Kit. HTML-Kit features can be easily augmented by means of its clever plug-in system. I could not resist writing a plug-in myself, that I hope it could be useful to every one committed to writing pages in languages (like mine, I'm Italian) that requires lots of accented characters. This plug-in adds a button to the HTML-Kit toolbar to perform automatic conversion of every Latin-1 character in the range 160-255 to their respective HTML entity and vice-versa. There is also the possibility to exclude the non-breaking space ( code 160) from the conversion.
You can download chars2entities freely from here (.zip file, 26Kb). To install it, launch HTML-Kit and choose Tools/Install/Install plug-in.
